Alessio Princic


Architect Alessio Princic was born in Udine, Italy, and graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 1982 and Venice, Italy, in 1985. In 1983 he won the Preser Prize for his thesis and in the same year he began working with the famous Udine architect Marconi, and later with the architect Valle and others. In 1990 he founded his own studio in Udine and two years later he began research at the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana, where he also works as a commentator and lecturer. He has received numerous awards, including the Plecnik Prize (the most important Slovenian prize for architecture) and the Oderzo Prize. In 2000 he received a postgraduate degree from the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana. Currently, he continues his own architectural practice as the head of the PRINCIC&PARTNERS studio in Udine.
