Alfredo Häberli
Alfredo Häberli was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1964. He moved to Switzerland in 1977, where he graduated in industrial design from the Höhere Schule für Gestaltung in Zurich in 1991. His designs combine tradition with innovation, joy and energy and his work is strongly influenced by his early childhood in Argentina. The result is works with strong expression and emotionality.
Today, he is an internationally renowned designer based in Zurich and works for some of the leading companies in the international design industry such as Alias, BD Barcelona, BMW, Camper, FSB, Georg Jensen, Iittala, Kvadrat, Luceplan, Moroso, Schiffini and Vitra. Alfred Häberli's work and designs have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions throughout Europe and he has won numerous awards for his work over the last 16 years.
In 2009 he was awarded "Designer of the Year 2009" by A&W (Architektur & Wohnen) magazine and was honoured with a monograph exhibition on the occasion of the International Furniture Fair - Imm Cologne. His style is unique, playful and very comfortable, as you can see in his collection of seating furniture he created for the Spanish company Andrea World.
