Andreas Krob
Andreas Krob was born in 1969 in Niebüll, Germany. He studied industrial design at the Muthesius Academy of Art and Design in Kiel. He decided to spend one semester of his studies on an internship in Italy, where he soon started to earn a living as a freelance designer. Andreas slowly rose to public prominence and commissions from prestigious international companies were not long in coming. In 2002, Andreas Krob moved to Switzerland, where he founded the Bureau4Dimensions Krob (b4K) studio a year later. The studio focuses on innovative design and architecture projects. It develops furniture and solutions that are characterized at first glance by their originality and unique style, which Andreas has honed over the years. The company b4K places special emphasis on often unfortunately underestimated aspects such as the functionality of the product within the space, quality and ergonomics. Each piece is manufactured with a thorough understanding of its function and meaning.
It is therefore no wonder that b4K works with leading European companies that produce furniture of first-class quality. This includes the Czech brand LD Seating, for whom he created the FollowMe office chair. Designed with healthy sitting in mind, the work chair also impressed at the Orgatec work furniture fair in Cologne. The ALAX catalogue by Andreas Krob currently features the Wiesner Hager collection of conference and office chairs .
