Anna Castelli Ferrieri
Anna Castelli Ferrieri is the embodiment of Italian creative philosophy. She studied architecture at the famous Politecnico di Milano and worked in the office of the post-war rationalist Franco Albini, who became her role model. Castelli Ferrieri began designing for Kartell in 1966 after she was selected as the architect for its headquarters. Kartell, famous for its decisive role in introducing plastic as an acceptable material to the consumer market, was founded by Anna's future husband Giulio Castelli, alongside whom she later became artistic director.
