BÖTTCHER & KAYSER
In 2007, two designers founded the Böttcher & Kayser studio in Berlin, which they named after themselves. Moritz Böttcher, who was born in 1978, studied industrial design at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hannover in collaboration with Dornbracht. He then worked for npk industrial design in Hamburg and the Netherlands, Barskidesign in Frankfurt and from 2006 to 2008 for Werner Aisslinger in Berlin. The same age Nikolaus Kayser studied industrial design at the Muthesius Kunsthochschule in Kiel and is also a qualified carpenter. After his studies, he settled for three years at wiege Entwicklungsgesellschaft, where he was mainly involved in the production of high-quality chairs for the Wilkhahn manufactory.
The Böttcher & Kayser studio focuses on consumer goods, furniture, lighting and interior design. It works with renowned brands such as Softline, Schönbuch and many others. The iF design award and the Red dot Product Design award are among the biggest.
