Busetti-Garuti-Redaelli
Manuela Busetti and Andrea Garuti, classmates at the European Institute of Design in Milan, met in 2003 while studying industrial design. They immediately started working together, taking part in competitions and designing for companies whose products ranged from taps to decorations to sanitary ware. They have won major awards, from the young designers' section of the ADI "XX Compasso d'Oro" prize to the Playing Design competition in Lissone, sponsored by "La Triennale" in Milan, and have participated in various events and exhibitions. In 2007, when Busetti and Garuti collaborated with a design studio in Milan, they met Matteo Redaelli, who also studied at the European Institute of Design in Milan. And so a new team was born.
The common denominator that unites all three designers is their interest in studying re-design and abstracting technologies and materials from their context to create original and imaginative objects. They find inspiration everywhere. They keep an open mind and embrace new impulses. Today, the design trio is in demand by many global companies. For example, the brand Pedrali, for which they created the original BUDDY collection, is proud of their collaboration.
