Doriana & Massimiliano Fuksas
Massimiliano Fuksas (1944) and Doriana Mandrelli (1955), both architects born in Rome, are one of the most influential couples in the international world of architecture and design. When they met, Massimiliano was already an established professional, while Doriana was studying at the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art History at the University of Rome La Sapienza, from which Massimiliano had also graduated. Since the late 1980s, the couple have worked continuously on architectural and multidisciplinary projects coordinated by the 170-employee Fuksas studio with offices in Rome, Paris, Shenzhen and Dubai. In addition to major architectural projects around the world, including the recent Gelendzhik Airport in Russia, the Duomo metro station in Naples and the Zhaoxin Huijin Center in Shenzhen, the firm also works in product design.
