DUMoffice
The legendary Amsterdam furniture brand DUM is the brainchild of Wiebe Boonster and Marc van Nederpelt. Both graduated from the Design Academy in Eindhoven in 1994 and their subsequent collaboration culminated in the establishment of a joint workshop in the heart of the modern European metropolis. DUM approaches design with lightness and playfulness. Their iconic chairs can be found in offices and hospitality projects. Their sturdy and solid furniture is slightly oversized, making it ideal for large spaces and buildings. They base the design of their products on simple geometric shapes - because circles and squares never go out of style.
DUM is also very focused on technology. Although mass production of their furniture is impossible without industrial production processes, they combine modern technology with traditional craftsmanship. They use a sustainable, efficient and flexible production chain, which not only contributes to reducing the CO2 footprint, but also allows them to quickly meet individual client wishes. They use sustainably sourced beech wood for their wooden furniture.
