Giulio Iacchetti
Giulio Iacchetti has focused on industrial design since 1992 and has designed for many brands including Alessi, Artemide, Fontana Arte, Foscarini, Metalmobil, Plust and Pandora. He is the artistic director of Danese Milano, Dnd, Myhome and Internoitaliano. The hallmarks of his work are the research and definition of new typologies of objects, such as Moscardino, the biodegradable spoon/fork designed by Matteo Ragni, for which he was awarded by Compasso d'Oro in 2001.
In 2009, the President of the Italian Republic awarded him the Premio dei Premi - Innovation Award - for the Coop Eureka project, which brought design to retail. In November 2012, he launched Internoitaliano, a "factory network" made up of many artisan laboratories, with furniture and accessories inspired by the Italian way of life. He also undertook a personal research project on new design themes, such as the symbol of the cross, which was the basis for an exhibition called Cruciale, hosted by the Diocesan Museum, the Basilica of Santo Stefano Rotondo in Rome and the Castello di Lombardia in Enna, Sicily.
