Gonçalo Campos
From a young age,Goncalo Campos has been deeply interested in products ranging from vacuum cleaners to wipers. Naturally, this led him to discover how things were made and who the people behind these products were. This curiosity about things and people led him to study the design and manufacturing process. His studies eventually led him out of Portugal and abroad.
His greatest experience was in Italy, where at Fabrica (Benetton's communication research centre) he had the opportunity to work with references from the design world such as Benetton and Zanotta. In 2010 he started his own practice, which allowed him the freedom to continue exploring design secrets. He moved first to London, then to Berlin, Paris, Budapest and then back to Lisbon. During his time travelling he had the opportunity to meet incredible people from whom he drew professional experience and inspiration, and to design products with companies such as Kvadrat, WeWood, Habitat and Crassevig.
