Hannes Wettstein
Hannes Wettstein was born in 1958 in Switzerland. He was one of the most interesting designers of his generation. He created projects ranging from products to communication and industrial design to architecture. He was known as one of the most innovative and influential designers of the Swiss school. This was proven by the many prizes and competitions he won, such as the Compasso d'Oro in 2004 for his Dada Nomis kitchen.
In 1991, Wettstein fully developed his skills as a designer and architect by creating his corporate image and designing architectural projects through the creation of his interdisciplinary studio. Hannes Wettstein has worked for the Grand Hyatt hotel chain in Berlin and designed the Swiss Embassy in Tehran and Washington DC. He has worked with great international design companies including Cassina, UMS Pastoe, Maxdesign, Shimano, Baleri Italia, Artemide and Molteni Group. In 1993, he co-founded 9D Design. Today, his artistic and design heritage is passed on by "Studio Hannes Wettstein", where his team works.
