Hee Welling
Hee Welling graduated from the University of Art and Design in Helsinki and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts - Department of Furniture Design, where he received his Master's degree in 2003. In the same year he established his own studio in Copenhagen and works in furniture, interior and industrial design. He has worked with many renowned companies including Hay, Erik Jørgensen, Fredericia Furniture, Lammhults, Laufen, Lapalma and others.
His work has won numerous awards, including the Bo Bedre design award, the Good Design award, the new Danish Art foundation and he was nominated for Danish Designer of the Year 2013 by Bolig Magasinet magazine. Hee Welling's designs have been exhibited at various fairs and museums around the world, including Horsens Art Museum, IMM, Maison&Objet and Salone del mobile in Milan. His work has been used for various international interior design projects, including the Oslo Opera House, the Australian Parliament, Google headquarters, Danish National Television, the Astrup Fearnley Museum and the Danish Parliament. In addition to his studio, he has taught at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and the Danish Institute for Study Abroad.
