Ineke Hans
Ineke Hans graduated from the Royal College of Art in London in 1995 and founded her design studio INEKEHANS/ARNHEM in the Netherlands in 1998. Initially presenting and producing her own collections, she has focused on industrial design and commissions since 2005. The studio works on a wide range of 3D products, in addition to exhibitions and some architectural projects. Clients include manufacturers such as Arco, Cappellini, Chi ha paura...?, Lensvelt, Magis, Offecct, Royal Ahrend, RoyalVKB, Swarovski and van Esch.
Ineke's early work focused on pictograms and archetypes, but her designs evolved in many directions - exploring the psychological roots of products, sensing and playing with the interaction between people, objects and space. Hans was guest of honour at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2009. Her work has won numerous awards such as Red Dot (2005, 2006, 2010) and Design Plus (2006, 2007, 2010), and is purchased by leading collectors and museums. A collection of her work, "Black Bazaar - design dilemma's" was published in 2003 and "MIND-SETS" in 2010. Both publications contain reviews of her designs by international authors and give an insight into her way of thinking. One of her most functionally innovative projects is the SMALLROOM collection of solutions for small spaces, whose products add privacy to offices and other interiors that require an island of calm amidst chaos. She designed this collection for Offecct.
