Leonardo Mercurio

Leonardo Mercurio was born in Bari, Italy. From an early age, his personality included the need, spontaneous and sometimes atypical, to express his creativity and to represent his thoughts in pictures. For this reason, he decided to attend the State Art Institute in Bari, and then move to Milan. In 2011, he achieved with distinction the title "Progettazione Artistica per l'Impresa" at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brescia.

Inspired by the minimalist Japanese style, he began his professional experience with Setsu & Shinobu Ito - Studio ITO Design. In 2015, he came up with his first personal goal; winning the Cristalplant Design Contest with his project Fe-Man, a freestanding basin with wavy and sculptural forms. She can also boast other achievements, such as the 2017 Riva 4°1920 Design Award and the 2018 Textile Design Experience.
