Luciano Marson
Luciano Marso studied administration, but later changed his life path and became a designer from a businessman. He was born on 9 June 1953 near Venice, where he currently lives. After graduating, he worked as an accountant from 1972 to 1978, before moving into sales in the furniture industry. In 1978 he started working for himself as a salesman and over the years he fell in love with good design. He has worked with Ciatti, Elam, Pallucco, Triangolo, De Padova and many important designers. In 1998 he won the Compasso D'Oro award for graphics, while as CEO of Horm he won two more Compasso D'Oro awards: in 2004 for Ripples and in 2008 for the stand at the Salone del Mobile. From 2010 to 2012, he was consultant to the general directorates of Albini and Fontanot S.p.a. He is currently consultant to Bross and co-owner of Wlegno, Pieces of Venice, of which he is also creative director.
