Miki Astori

Designer Miki Astori was born in Italy in 1965, studied architecture, then worked for Antonio Astori in Milan and later for Philippe Starck in Paris. He opened his own design office in Milan in 1995. His greatest inspiration is Asia, and during his travels in India and other Asian countries, Miki Astori was inspired by local craftsmanship and industrial production methods.

He produces one-off designs, product collections and concepts for the Driade brand. He is a creative all-rounder, working mainly as a designer but also actively involved in interior design and architecture. Astori is an image consultant and designer for Driade and for Japanese and Dutch companies. He created the award-winning Lean On mirror for the Schönbuch 2008 product programme.
