Paul Brooks
Paul Brooks became interested in chair design as a student at Ravensbourne College of Design in England. He continued to develop this interest during his postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Art in London, where he gained a Master's degree in Furniture Design. Brooks maintained close contact with Ravensbourne College, having served as a visiting lecturer for ten years, passing on his skills to new generations. After graduating from the RCA in 1983, Paul Brooks began working with Robert Heritag, Professor of Furniture Design at the Royal College, at his design studio in London. Two years later he joined Stephen Hall Consultancy, where he worked on furniture and lighting projects. In the late 1980s and early 1990s Brooks then decided to work as a freelance designer in the UK.
