Philippe Bestenheider
Philippe Bestenheider was born in 1971 in Sion, Switzerland. He later studied architecture at the Zurich Polytechnic in 1998, and in 2000 he obtained a master's degree in industrial design at the Milan Domus Academy, where he was then invited to become workshop leader. From 2001 to 2006 he was senior designer at Patricia Urquiola's Milan studio, where he worked with companies such as Moroso, Molteni, Agape, Alessi, Axor and others. In 2007 he set up his own studio to devote himself fully to his work.
His projects combine a rational and logical approach with a strong sense of shapes and colours. He likes to start his designs from simple but strong ideas, which he develops to get new solutions for projects.
