Pietro Derossi
The creator of a number of iconic products , Pietro Derossi was born in Turin in 1933. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Turin and subsequently became a lecturer in architectural design at the Polytechnic University of Milan. He was a renowned figure in the field of teaching and was a guest of faculties in world capitals. In 1994 he founded the architectural studio Derossi Associati with Paolo and David Derossi. Their projects went on to win awards in international competitions. These include the Conservation and Restoration Centre in Reggio di Venaria, the Museum and Palazzo dello Sport in Vercelli and the Olympic Village of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. In addition, Pietro Derossi is the creator (or co-creator) of many famous objects. The Torneraj or Wimbledon chairs are even exhibited at MoMA in New York. For the Driade brand, he created the original Osmond mirror.
