Ronald Straubel

Designer and graduate of the Burg Giebichenstein College of Art and Design in Halle, Germany, Ronald Straubel received his diploma in 1991 for industrial design at the Faculty of Furniture Design. He also studied in Denmark at the German Academic Exchange Service Scholarship Position in Kerteminde. His speciality is furniture design for offices and public spaces.

For the Czech company Profim he designed the Arca collection of chairs, which are modern and easy to use. Focusing especially on ergonomics, his chairs contain several mechanisms that adapt perfectly to the user's needs. The synchronous mechanism forces the correct sitting position while not hindering dynamic movement. The correct position is also ensured by the height-adjustable, flexible backrest, armrests and depth-adjustable seat.
