Scholten & Baijings

Designers Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings move seamlessly between the disciplines of art and design with craft and industrial processes to create a visually arresting collection of work that has strong references to the past, but is also contemporary.

The design duo founded Scholten & Baijings, Studio for Design, in 2000. They combine minimalist forms and balanced use of colour with traditional craft techniques and industrial production in a distinctive design style. The delicacy, stunning colours and subtle use of materials in their work have earned them considerable admiration in the international design world. Their work is exhibited all over the world.

After a successful collaboration, designers Carole Baijings and Stefan Scholten decided to explore new artistic challenges individually. Both will work under their own brand. The existing portfolio of Scholten&Baijings will be overseen by Studio Stefan Scholten.
