Sempere#Poli Design
The collaboration between a young Spanish designer and an experienced professor gives rise to a new creative reality at Sempere#Poli.
Beatriz Sempere is an industrial designer born in Alicante in 1975. After graduating in industrial design in Valencia, she further developed her skills by visiting art galleries, where she acquired an eye for detail. She also completed a course in shoe modelling at the Technological Training Institute in Crete and then worked with leading companies in the sector. However, her true passion is housing and its study.
Franco Poli, a designer born in Padua in 1950, is an independent artist with many years of experience. In 1997 he was the artistic director of the Bernini Spa, in 1986 he worked for Poltrona Frau and during the same year he fulfilled his dream and opened his own studio in Venice and started his activity as a visiting professor at the International University of Art in Florence, C.N.R. and the Polytechnic University of Milan. Since 1989 he has also been a design teacher at the Venice School of Fine Arts. From 1988 to 2010 he organized a number of design conferences around the world.
Since 1995, one of his creations has been part of the Denver Art Museum's collection. In 2005, 2007, 2011 and 2014 he was awarded the Good Design Award, making him one of the world's best designers.
Beatriz Sempere' s balance and Franco Poli' s experience combine to create a subtle and functional design.
