Studio deFORM
Studio deFORM was founded by Jakub Pollág and Václav Mlynář during their studies at the University of Applied Arts. Together with architect Jan Šrák, they represent a new generation of young, dynamic designers. Their studio focuses on product design, architecture and creative advertising and has attracted the interest of major clients such as Nike, Heineken and Dupont. Studio deFORM is currently the art direction of the renowned Czech glass and lighting manufacturer Bomma.
Their individual approach to each project is never lacking in wit, thanks to which the artists are often able to extract maximum effect from minimal resources. In addition to interior design, they have designed a collection of modifiable urban cycling helmets for the Krust brand, exhibition furniture for an international festival of contemporary design, and a beer bottle opener for the OKOLO creative group. All this and much more resulted in this year's first place at the prestigious Czech Grand Design Awards, where the duo took home the top award in the Discovery of the Year category.
