Ulf Moritz

Ulf Moritz, a designer of Polish origin, has significantly influenced the world of art and design. His acclaimed portfolio of work includes fabrics, carpets and wallpapers, as well as interior and architectural projects. After studying in Germany, Moritz later set up his own studio in Amsterdam. His designs are characterised by colour, texture, light and a sense of movement. He himself cites the Bauhaus and the 1960s as inspiration and influence on his work.

Moritz's designs often incorporate highly refined and innovative combinations of fibers and threads, often highlighting previously hidden properties of the material. In addition to his own fabric, wallpaper and glass collections, Moritz designs collections for several major companies, such as Schönbuch, for whom he designed the Epoca mirrored cabinet collection. His production has been prolific throughout his career and his design is very inventive and playful.
