He is the founder and director of the design studio Xavier Lust.
His works are part of the permanent collection of museums, including the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Lust collaborated with Fiam Italia in 2008 on Graph desk and with MGX by Materialis in 2009 on Gamete Lamp. In 2010 Lust won a competition to design bus shelters for the Brussels Intercommunal Transport Company, which was widely implemented in 2015. Lust regularly lectures at art and design institutions and industry conferences around the world.
