Andreas Ostwald

Andreas Ostwald loves innovative design. That's why he not only designs but also teaches the Integrated Design degree programme at the University of the Arts in Bremen. His work is multifaceted and unusual. His work includes almost everything from the Deutsche Bahn train platform roof system to German railways, consumer electronics to lighting, furniture and home accessories. In his view, perfect design is defined by a perfect shape with the potential to become an archetype, an intuitive interface, coherent structures, the right materials and appropriate proportions and relationships. He has also linked his career with Infinity, for which he designed the Next collection of chairs and tables. The design range, with its spectacular polished injection moulded plastic shell referencing the timeless style of the 1970s, is a classic Andreas Ostwald signature.
