Stirum Design

Louis de Limburg Stirum has been working as a freelance designer since 1992. During his studies, he has carried out various projects in the studios of famous designers. For example, he worked for several years at the very prestigious design studio Axel Enthoven in Antwerp. "I really learned the job there. And I still thank Axel Enthoven today for giving me the opportunity to work with him."

After graduating from Cambre's industrial department in 1989, Louis joined the army. A year later, he completed his military duties as a cavalry officer. It was time for another challenge and Louis, together with two friends, decided to buy an old Toyota Landcruiser and visit some African countries. From Brussels they travelled through Morocco, Algeria, Nigger, Chad, Cameroon, Central Africa, Zaire (the real Congo) and Rwanda. After returning to Belgium, Louis started working as an industrial designer for several companies. He later founded his own company, Stirum Design.
