The MATER FAMILIAS collection is the result of a project called Architecture of Shame, created together with the Matera European Capital of Culture 2019. The lounge chair with its multi-layered cushions and elegant legs is inspired by a relaxing lounger and stands out for its extroverted elegance. The thin and light structure together with the elegantly designed base are the starting points for the entire collection. The visible stitches have been realised in a cross pattern and all have been handmade to pay tribute to this craft. The structure of the chair is made up of pine, beech and multi-ply plywood covered with polyurethane foam along with elastic straps. The non-removable upholstery is available in a wide range of colours including a multi-colour option, for which please contact us. The slender metal base is available in copper finish, and can also be ordered in gold or bronze finish on request. We offer a right or left-handed variant.
