ALEX GUFLER

Alex Gufler was born in Merano, Italy, but is now based in Vienna. He started his studies at the jewellery school in Pforzheim, Germany, but since 2003 he has focused on industrial design. He studied at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna under the guidance of Prof. Bořek Šípek, Prof. Ross Lovegrove, Prof. Hartmut Esslinger and Prof. Paolo Pivo. Since 2004 he has worked on projects at AWS Design Vienna and has also participated in exhibitions in Cologne, Pure Austrian Design at BLICKFANG in Tokyo, 100% East - Designfair in London and Pure Austrian Design at Designblok in Prague and Barcelona. Alex has designed several collections including chairs and armchairs for the Czech furniture brand Ton .
