Bao-Nghi Droste
Bao-Nghi Droste was born in Stuttgart, Germany. He first trained as a carpenter, but later started studying industrial design at the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt in 2001. Already during his studies he gained a lot of work experience. He graduated in 2007 and moved to Heidelberg, where he set up his own studio shortly afterwards.
His goal is to create soulful products that mimic a distinctive gesture or character and add value - functionally and emotionally - to the user and the environment. His objects are always reduced to the most important elements. He uses a geometrically clear, simple and clean shape language. He is inspired by everyday life, his daughter, art, music, nature and design.
