Christian Heimberger

Christian Heimberger is a renowned designer and interior architect who was born in Germany. He completed three and a half years of carpentry apprenticeship and later two years of study at the Werkschule Hildesheim, where he earned his master carpenter degree. After his studies, he worked as a building architect for 8 years and since 1968 has been a freelance furniture designer in all areas of residential and custom furniture, which includes chairs, tables, upholstered furniture and cabinets for living and dining areas. Heimberger not only works in his native Germany, but also in Finland, Spain, Italy and Switzerland, and some of his models are also produced in the USA, New Zealand and Australia. He has won the Design-Center Stuttgart award for his work four times in 1980, 1983, 1992 and 1994.
