Cuno Frommhherz

Cuno Frommherz was born in 1963 in Burgdorf, Switzerland. He first trained as a cabinetmaker and then worked for an interior designer for several years. Since 1996 he has been an independent furniture designer. He develops concepts and designs products for the furniture industry in Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands and Italy. The main products he works on are tables, chairs and upholstered furniture. Other areas include shelves and office and bathroom furniture.

He chooses the right tools for each step of the design process. These range from freehand drawing to the use of computers. In the last few years, 3D CAD has firmly established itself as an important tool. However, the main tool, according to Frommherz, is the collaboration between designer, entrepreneur and engineer. In product development, the maximum can only be achieved through the joint enthusiasm, broad creative input and expertise of all involved. Through these requirements, perfectly refined products are then created, such as the CORDA collection that Frommherz designed for the Tonon brand.
