Giò Colonna Romano, who was born in Sicily, is the founder of Slide. He is an industrial engineer, designer and entrepreneur. He creates many of Slide's products himself, using his deep knowledge of plastic materials and rotational moulding. With his great creativity, he uses everyday objects to create ironic, fun and colorful collections of design objects that reflect his personality. He takes extreme care in the design of his products, paying particular attention to detail.

The idea behind his design is to create basic lines that can bring joy and that are also very variable in terms of how they can be used. From the idea of luminous furniture to the most colourful household objects, Giò Colonna Romana' s style is one of the most characteristic of the entire Slide production. The company's main goal is to bring the quality, creativity and culture of "Made in Italy" design to the whole world. The typical material for Slide products is plastic, specifically recyclable polyethylene.
