Giovanni Baccolini

Giovanni Baccolini was born in 1956 in Bologna and became a successful designer thanks to a challenge he set himself. After graduating from an industrial high school with a technical degree, Baccolini began his career as a designer in the bicycle and motorcycle industry, and then worked as a technical supplier of polyurethane products in the residential, office and contract furniture sectors for a number of companies such as Molteni, Rolf Benz, Castelli, Poltrona Frau, Knoll International and Olivetti Syntesis. Driven by the idea of rising to the challenge and indulging in a never-to-be-forgotten artistic spirit, he decided to take a risk as a freelance designer and open Studio Omega in 1992, which he still runs today.
