Massimo Castagna

The Italian architect and designer Massimo Castagna (*1957) is one of the outstanding personalities of contemporary design who can combine technical precision with a strong aesthetic sense. He studied architecture at the Politecnico di Milano and founded his own studio , AD Architettura, in 1986. His work ranges from residential and hotel buildings to iconic interior projects for prestigious brands such as Gallotti&Radice, Flou, Henge, Ceccotti Collezioni, Roda and Bonaldo.

Massimo Castagna emphasizes authenticity of materials, freedom of form and a balance between functionality and emotion. His designs are characterised by clean lines, sophisticated structure and a refined attention to detail. As creative director of Henge, he transforms the concept of luxury interiors into a dialogue between art and craft. In his own words, his work is "a search for freedom beyond formalism" - and this is what makes his work timeless, bold and exceptionally distinctive. In addition to designing, he has also been teaching in the "Manager d'interni" magisterial program at the POLI.design academy in Milan since 2020.
