Michael Geldmacher

Michael Geldmacher was born in Germany in 1968. Together with designer Eva Paster he founded the studio Neuland Industrie. Their common motto in design is: "Products are an expression of life. In line with changing values and systems, we are looking for new formulations. In this way, we rethink functions and find new aesthetic expressions." In 2015, their paths diverged and Michael began working with leading Italian and international furniture manufacturers. He created a design concept that fundamentally changes the approach to designing industrial products by starting from their primary function. "The real reason for the existence of a bookcase is not the bookcase, but the book itself..."

His work has won numerous awards and recognitions such as the ElleDecor Design Award, Wallpaper Design Award, Chicago Good Design Award, "Best of the Best" Interior Innovation Design Award, German Design Award, IF Design Award, Iconic Award and has been nominated for the Compasso d'oro.
