Simone Viola

Simone Viola was born in Mendrisio, Switzerland in 1985. He studied industrial design in Milan and soon began working with major Italian and international architecture and design studios. In 2011, this experience led him to open his own studio in Switzerland, specializing in industrial design and interiors. The décor sector became his main area of interest and experimentation, and his personal taste began to emerge: a strong inclination towards clean lines and craftsmanship.His efforts are mainly dedicated to the constant search for functional simplicity, in which design becomes an expression of personal style while serving a practical purpose. This philosophy gives rise to minimalist, ergonomic shapes that aim to decorate living spaces in a recognisable way. To this end, Simone Viola personally oversees all stages of design and production, carefully supervising every detail of the entire process.

Thanks to his keen eye for detail and unique design philosophy, Simone Viola's designs are high quality and generously accommodating. For the Italian brand TOOU , he has created two ranges of seats, both with natural ergonomics and versatile design. The Viola Joi range, created for Kubikoff and inspired by the iconic designs of Hans Wegner, boasts three seat designs with distinctly different styles, each offered in different variations to adapt the chair to its intended use and space.
