Terry Dwan


Terry Dwan was born in Santa Monica, California. She studied Civil Engineering and Architecture at Rice University in Houston and Fine Arts at Saci in Florence before receiving her Master of Architecture in 1984 from Yale University. After a "Fulbright Scholarship" in Rome, she became a partner in Studio Citterio Dwan in 1986 and opened her own office in Milan in 1991. She has designed buildings in Switzerland, Japan, Germany and Italy and has participated in exhibitions in many places, including Bordeaux, Tokyo, Milan and Osaka.

Since 2004 she has led the art direction for the environmentally oriented firm 1920 Riva and some of her work is exhibited in the permanent collection of the Design Museum at the Triennale in Milan.
