The company was founded in 1999 in Brno with the aim of preserving the tradition of Czech glassmaking, to which the founders are very close, and this has been successful, LUCIS products have been very successful at various exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad, such as 100% Design in London, Touch of Prague in Seoul, Designblok in Prague or Czech center in New York.

Did you know that the word"lucis" comes from the Latin word "lux", which translates as"light","bright" or"shining"?

Since the beginning of its existence, LUCIS has been working with young Czech designers, who are a fresh source of inspiration for the company, bringing not only new and practical shape solutions to the range, but also coming up with new materials that can be combined with the lights, such as textiles, acrylics glass or stainless steel. Thanks to this cooperation, LUCIS products have been very successful at various exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad. Among other things, the Czech company LUCIS also focuses on supporting young talented art school students.
