Inspired by wine barrels
Swedish design studio Note was chosen to produce the TONELLA sofa , adding a touch of French design to its Spanish roots and giving the product a new innovative angle. It is extremely versatile, comfortable and robust, making it an ideal piece for homes, hotel rooms and other public spaces. The design was inspired by the wine barrels that are found on almost every corner in the Yacle wine region, where the Sancal brand is based. The Marie Antoinette-style seat, backrest and armrests are made of molded polyurethane foam. The upholstery is available in many fabric colours, and on the outside of the backrest the seat is enhanced with stitching that continues the lines of the metal base.
