Tomasz Augustyniak

Augustyniak is a renowned Polish designer who received his diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan, where he graduated with honours from the Department of Industrial Design in 1993, specialising in product interpretation. Since 1994 he has been a member of the Start design team for three years. Augustyniak is most distinguished for the projects he created for various furniture companies. His designs for VOX, NOTI, Comforty, Profim and Mikomax have helped these companies take a new aesthetic direction and clearly define their product and brand vision.

Augustyniak's deep understanding of user needs is not simply a matter of his design instinct. His design process is rooted in in-depth preliminary research. Functionality is at the heart of Augustyniak's projects, and this is particularly evident in his sofas and armchairs. Among the most interesting of these is the STONE collection, which he created in collaboration with the Noti brand. This range is a perfect fusion of purposefulness and unconventional geometric shapes.
