Tenksom: Sustainability and design

Tenksom 's main credo is environmental responsibility. It bases its philosophy on knowledge and experience that it has been drawing on since 1978. Tenksom specialises in the production of seating furniture, which it creates from quality and certified materials so that it lasts for many years. With production taking place in its own factory, the brand is able to ensure the highest quality standards. Further steps towards sustainability are through minimising the carbon footprint, using flat packaging with minimal plastic as well as local materials with certifications such as Oeko-Tex®, FCS and, for some collections, even one of the strictest ecological certifications, the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. The fabrics for the upholstery come from recycled plastic or wool. The company also plants 10,000 new trees every year to compensate for its wood consumption. Last but not least, the company's management ensures good conditions for employees.
