History of Pedrali

Pedrali was founded in 1963 in Italy in Palazzolo sull'Oglio. Thanks to its high functionality, modern timeless design and quality production process, it satisfies even the most demanding clientele. The worldwide success of Pedrali products lies in the constant process of exploring the user's everyday life and creating competitive products. This makes the brand a major player in the commercial and private furniture market.

Sustainability first and foremost

The Pedrali brand produces durable products that are both aesthetically pleasing and sustainable. During the production process, special attention is paid to the materials used, waste management and emission control, while optimising the recycling process. Their respect for the environment is also evidenced by numerous certifications such as CATAS, FSC and GREENGUARD. The products meet European standards for durability, sustainability and safety.

In 2020, the brand reached another important milestone in its environmental sustainability efforts: it created a new material made 50% from post-consumer plastic waste and 50% from industrial plastic waste. All products made from this new sustainable material have a characteristic grey shade, a neutral colour chosen to offset and hide imperfections typical of recycled materials. One of the two new products made from this new material is the Remind chair, designed by Eugeni Quitllet, and the Babila XL chair by Oda Fioravanti.

Organic production

In 2017, Pedrali is taking another step towards environmental sustainability by using water-based, plant-based inks, which, in addition to a high reduction in VOCs (volatile organic compounds), allows it to maintain high quality standards. These chemical compounds contained in conventional paints evaporate at room temperature and can seriously harm human health and contribute to air pollution. The result is a healthier and less hazardous working environment as these paints are non-flammable; less air pollution and huge energy savings, leading to reduced CO2 emissions.

Designers at Pedrali

The brand's leading designers include designer Odoardo Fioravanti, who designed the iconic Babila collection, the minimalist Snow pieces and the Dome dining line for Pedrali. French designer Patrick Jouin, in turn, breathed life into the luxurious Ester collection and Elliot tables. The talented duo Alberto Basaglia & Natalia Rota Nodari specialise in lighting.
