Danish designer Philip Bro was inspired by the famous sculptures of the Easter Islands to create the Moai armchair, which the piece resembles in profile and name. The high, rounded shell of the chair adds privacy and was also originally inspired by the shape of pebbles on the seashore, perfectly smoothed by the never-ending work and power of the sea waves. This unique piece has earned the Good Design Award 2017 and the German Design Award 2018. The steel construction is available in black or white lacquer, or in solid ash wood in natural or black lacquered finish. The chair is fully upholstered. The range of upholstery colours and materials is very wide, including the possibility of supplying your own fabric. The practical removable cover can be dry cleaned. It is also available in a swivel version or as a two-seater seat. On request, this model can be fitted with special interior materials to increase fire resistance.
