About the history of SCAB Design
S-CAB is a Made-in-Italy company that has been offering indoor and outdoor furniture on the international market for more than 60 years. Founded in 1957 by Francesco Battaglia, the company has been innovating the furniture sector from the very beginning by offering chairs, tables, stools, pouffes and loungers that have proven themselves in both domestic interiors and the contract world. Designers at SCAB
The design of all S-CAB products is the result of work done with passion by international architects and designers who have collaborated with the brand and managed to turn its know-how into art. The architects, designers and design studios that have collaborated with S-CAB include Meneghello Paolelli Associati, RadiceOrlandini DesignStudio, Marcello Ziliani, Simone Micheli, Luisa Battaglia, Gialuca Passoti, Studio Zetas, Roberto Semprini and Mark Robson.
All S-CAB products are manufactured in Italy to the highest standards.
Technology and attention to detail
The creation of all products takes place in three different production units covering a total area of 85,000 m2. All products made of polycarbonate, polypropylene and polymer are produced on 30 injection moulding machines operated by experts who combine the latest technology with an eye for detail and a love of ancient craftsmanship. S-CAB has decided to invest in alternative, more environmentally friendly materials and today primarily uses steel, wood and fabric.

SCAB Go Green
S-CAB promotes environmental awareness and reduces waste. This is evidenced by the process the company has in place: used plastic is not disposed of, but instead reused, reducing the amount of potentially polluting waste materials. The cycle is as follows: from raw material to product, from product to waste, from waste to recycled material, from recycled material to new product. This creates a continuous and permanent cycle of reuse. The GO GREEN chair collection is made from certified reclaimed plastic obtained by processing and reclaiming recycled products. The plastic is certified as recycled and obtained using energy produced from renewable sources.
S-CAB's best-selling products are now available in a "green" version made from recycled plastic
The first pieces produced using this "green" method are the popular Lisa Technopolymer design chairs ,Lady B, the iconic Ginevra and Sai pieces. This is just the beginning, in the future we can certainly look forward to more and more environmentally produced products made from recycled plastic in trendy colours. All without compromising on technical standards of durability, longevity and stability.
SCAB references and projects
This house on the Greek island of Serifos cannot be called anything other than a fortress. We appreciate its creative concept that blends with the landscape and the choice of natural materials such as stone, wood and glass in the interiors. This minimalist natural design is beautifully broken up by the canary yellow Lisa bar stools.
Could you resist a glass of champagne or a fine wine with this sunset view in Riva del Garda, Italy? Such a breathtaking view certainly lends itself to a beautiful design. Bastione Lounge & Restaurant has bet on the tasteful and stylish design of S-CAB and, in addition to the aforementioned Lisa bar stool, has also chosen pieces from the Summer collection in classic, elegant black.
Also, wouldn't you think of combining navy blue and orange? But Cesari café in Rimini, Italy chose this combination and it was a winner! The café bet on a design elegant in shapes, but crazy in colours. For the interior, they chose Finn chairs with original upholstery and construction in a vibrant orange, along with Trick Pop bar stools in the same colour. Both extravagant pieces are softened by classic white Tiffany bistro tables.
