In 2011, it won the prestigious international Good Design Award (the oldest and most prestigious international design award given since 1950 by the Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in Chicago and the Metropolitan Arts Press). The metal base with swivel mechanism is finished in chrome. The shell of the seat with its high slit backrest has a pleasantly rounded shape and is fully upholstered. A wide range of upholstery materials and colours, including the option of upholstering in the customer's own material, provides the opportunity to configure the chair to match the space for which it is intended. The interior upholstery is specially treated to increase fire resistance.
