Danish designer Philip Bro was inspired by the famous sculptures of the Easter Islands to create the Moai sofa, which the piece resembles in profile and name. The high, rounded shell adds privacy and was also originally inspired by the shape of pebbles on the seashore, perfectly smoothed by the never-ending work and power of the sea waves. This unique piece has earned the Good Design Award 2017 and the German Design Award 2018. The steel construction is available in black or white lacquer, or solid ash wood in natural or black lacquered finish. The sofa is fully upholstered. The range of upholstery colours and materials is very wide, including the option of supplying your own fabric. The practical removable cover can be dry-cleaned. The collection also offers a swivel or four-legged chair. On request, this model can be equipped with a special treatment of the interior materials to increase fire resistance.
