Danish designer Philip Bro drew inspiration for the Moai chair from the famous statues of Easter Island, which this piece resembles in both its profile and its name. The tall, rounded shell provides privacy and was originally inspired by the shape of pebbles on the seashore, perfectly smoothed by the never-ending action and power of the ocean waves. This unique piece has earned the 2017 Good Design Award and the 2018 German Design Award. The steel frame is available in black or white lacquer, or in solid ash wood with a natural or black lacquered finish. The sofa is fully upholstered, and the inner foam is specially treated for enhanced fire resistance. The range of upholstery colors and materials is very wide, including the option to supply your own fabric. The practical removable cover is dry-cleanable.
